Focus Adventures offers Individual and small group photo tours of the Steamboat Springs area year-round, emphasizing 'The Art of Seeing'. Owner Karen Schulman, photographic artist and instructor, is co-author of the book, Steamboat Visions, A Photographic View of the Yampa Valley, the first photographic book dedicated to NW Colorado. Karen leads an annual summer photo workshop at Focus Ranch, 50 miles north of Steamboat on the Wyoming border. She will guide you in developing your personal photographic vision and creative style. Karen is a twenty-four year resident of Steamboat and has been a professional photographic artist for 36 years. Karen also leads international photo tours to Morocco, Ireland, Bhutan, Bali and Ecuador. She emphasizes photography as a tool for self-discovery through all of her programs as well as her art. Her current passion is teaching Creative iPhoneography, using various methods to capture an image and process it right on the iPhone, using a variety of inexpensive apps and techniques.
